We have chosen some of our sunset photos for this page. The evening is a peaceful time, when we reflect on the successes of the day…..
As well as our work with the Charity Tax Group, we work with a broad range of organisations including the largest Russell Group universities, specialist teaching institutions, and charities large and small.
Our clients say that they use us because we are responsive, great value, and because we understand their business. We don’t just answer the questions they ask, but also the questions they need to ask.
Despite working for more than 30 years in VAT in the charity/education sector, Kerry has worked hard to maintain his youthful appearance and general joie de vivre. Many ask how he does this - the answer is simple - Kerry loves VAT, loves education and loves helping people. His experience includes long days as an HMRC Officer, a short spell of 17 years as Deputy Director of Finance and Head of Tax at the University of Cambridge, and a few years as a Director at KPMG.
Kerry is a Chartered Tax Adviser and has an MA from the University of Cambridge.
Before becoming the second team member at Big for Tax, Harriet was the Tax Manager at University of Glasgow, and before that worked at The Open University for almost 10 years. She has been extremely tenacious at making change happen and crystallising tax savings and refunds. She is also an excellent communicator working with all stakeholders so that whatever their background, they can engage with tax.
She is a Chartered Tax Adviser, trained as a Chartered Accountant with PWC, and has a BA from the University of Oxford.
Before realising that a career in tax was the route to happiness, John trained in search engine optimisation, taught English in Thailand, and provided excellent customer service in the catering and hospitality arena.
John is currently studying for the ATT exams and then Chartered Institute of Taxation and has a BA from the University of Exeter.
